This International Women's Day we celebrate Women in A/AA's 10 year anniversary!

Join Women in A/AA for breakfast at KPMG in Sydney 9th March as we listen to a panel of of diverse speakers discuss their experiences throughout their exceptional careers, the progress made over the last 10 years, and the work still to come.

To mark 2023's IWD theme #embraceequity, we invite all genders to hear from prominent change-makers who are looking to make meaningful impact for women across the sector.

SPEAKER BIOGRAPHIES

/ Rachael Barritt | Business Operations, Asia Pacific at Dovetail Electric Aviation

Rachael Barritt is a seasoned professional with over 11 years of experience, primarily in emerging technology. Rachael is COO for Dovetail Electric Aviation and the Founder-in-Residence at Swinburne University of Technology, working alongside Swinburne’s top researchers to develop new ideas and ventures that can have a real-world impact in aviation and aerospace.

She recently lead the Dovetail team to build their first Electric Propulsion System (EPS) to spin a three-blade propeller for the first time, small-scale Iron Bird function test. Currently serving as the Program Chair for Women in AI, and she is a dedicated advocate for increasing diversity and inclusion in the technology sector. She has also founded an Indigenous Datathon for Northern Australia, designed to empower Indigenous communities, and bridge the digital divide by providing access to education and resources on the latest advancements in AI technology.

As an accomplished leader, Rachael's personal career highlight was delivering a successful flight of the first commercial electric eBeaver & eCaravan at magniX. The first two commercial electric flights; retrofitting a CHV-2 Beaver and Cessna 208 Caravan within a year of each project to achieve battery-powered flight.
