Australia is internationally recognised for its leadership and innovation. A/AA has been strongly focused on raising the profile of the aviation, aerospace, and space sectors, by engaging with industry organisations and individuals, particularly the diverse people, leaders, and future professionals of tomorrow to provide a suitable platform for the recognition and acknowledgement of outstanding achievements, leadership and innovation excellence.

The Aviation/Aerospace Australia Leadership and Excellence Awards will be presented to individuals, teams and companies who have demonstrated leadership and dedication to the aviation or aerospace sectors in Australia.

Awards Presentation Night

Thursday, 16 May from 6.30pm at the Melbourne Museum in Melbourne, Victoria.

It is expected that a representative of the nominee attends the Awards Presentation Night at their cost.

A/AA is committed to supporting and celebrating the Australian aviation, aerospace, and space sectors, however as a not-for-profit we are unable to cover the cost of tickets for guests/organisations attending in support of the nominated individual/organisation.

MODERATORS

Anntonette (Anny) Dailey |  Ministerial Board Appointment at Defence Council of Victoria & Director at Aviation/Aerospace Australia

Anntonette Dailey is a chartered engineer and brings more than 18 years senior executive capability, working across multiple Government agencies, not for profit and consultancies. She has a recent ministerial appointment to the Defence Council of Victoria where she advises the Victorian Government on strategies to develop and sustain Victoria's defence and space industry capabilities.

Anny is currently working with a number of businesses to expand their footprint in the Australian space industry, mentoring start-ups and supporting the next generation of STEM leadership. She is also completing a Masters of National Security Policy where she was recently awarded an ANU-National Intelligence Community scholarship.

As a vocal proponent of diversity, Anny has been a natural advocate of supporting all forms of diversity, inclusion and equity. She has and proudly built teams with this as a central value. Anny has always had a soft spot for the space sector, attending space camps at school, presenting to Parliament on the need for better space coordination. She is also a major supporter for developing the current and future STEM workforce. Her leadership and passion were recognised by AFR as one of Australia’s 100 most Influential Women and as young graduate of the year by the University of Technology, Sydney.

Heidi Hauf | Chair, GreenSkies Committee at Aviation/Aerospace Australia

Heidi has 20 years’ experience working in strategic advisory, policy and project leadership with business, government and NGOs, globally.  

Most recently, Heidi led Boeing Australia’s sustainable aviation activity, building sustainability capability in the APAC region, supporting Australian businesses and developing partnerships that advanced aerospace sustainability globally.  Heidi was appointed to the Australian Jet Zero Council and Sustainable Aviation Aotearoa.  She has chaired several industry bodies and was recognised in The Australian 2023 Top 100 Green Power List.

A graduate of the Royal Military College-Duntroon, Heidi started her career as an intelligence officer in the Australian Army, since then has worked on systemic sustainability issues advising business leaders, developing corporate sustainability strategies, shaping government policy and leading research in Australia, NZ, Asia, East Africa, Europe and UK.

Heidi currently lives in Brisbane, on Jagera and Turrbal Country. Heidi loves to travel; her favourite recent trip was an expedition around Svalbard, in the Arctic Circle.
