This year's IWD theme is Count Her In: Invest in Women. Accelerate Progress. While we celebrate all women, it is important to ensure women's involvement in various sectors. We invite all genders to join this meaningful event.

SPEAKER BIOGRAPIES

Anntonette (Anny) Dailey |  Ministerial Board Appointment at Defence Council of Victoria & Director at Aviation/Aerospace Australia

Anntonette Dailey is a chartered engineer and brings more than 18 years senior executive capability, working across multiple Government agencies, not for profit and consultancies.

Anny is currently working with a number of businesses to expand their footprint in the Australian space industry, mentoring start-ups and supporting the next generation of STEM leadership. She is also completing a Masters of National Security Policy where she was recently awarded an ANU-National Intelligence Community scholarship.

As a vocal proponent of diversity, Anny has been a natural advocate of supporting all forms of diversity, inclusion and equity. She has and proudly built teams with this as a central value.

Anny has always had a soft spot for the space sector, attending space camps at school, presenting to Parliament on the need for better space coordination. She is also a major supporter for developing the current and future STEM workforce. Her leadership and passion were recognised by AFR as one of Australia’s 100 most Influential Women and as young graduate of the year by the University of Technology, Sydney.

Linda Spurr is an accomplished senior executive. She is an advisor to the aviation industry as well as working with government, Defence Primes, universities and private sector. Currently Linda is the Interim Chief Operations Officer of ANU’s Institute for Space.

Linda is a Director on several boards including Safeskies, the Australian Aviation Hall of Fame and a member of CASA’s People & Culture Sub-Committee. She is Chair of the Aviation Industry Advisory Committee for RMIT University and former Deputy Chair of Aviation Aerospace Australia. She is a strong advocate for Women in Aviation/Aerospace and is a national committee member.

Linda has been recognised a Telstra Business Women’s Awards finalist, winner of the Women’s Agenda Leadership Award and CPA Australia Awards. She is a Fellow Certified Practising Accountant and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
