Stephen Hudson

Stephen will share some of the highlights and challenges he has experienced during his career, so grab your favourite drink and take up the opportunity to listen to the 'boss' and ask Stephen the questions you often don’t get the chance to in more formal settings.

Biography

Stephen Hudson is Boeing Defence Australia’s Chief Engineer. In this role, he is responsible for the technical and regulatory integrity and engineering capability for Boeing Defence Australia.

Prior to this, Hudson was Chief Engineer of the company’s Command, Control, Communications and Information Solutions Division overseeing the engineering capability for a number of Boeing Defence Australia’s most complex developmental programs, including the Project Currawong Battlespace Communications System, Wedgetail Phase 5A and the Helicopter Aircrew Training System.  From 2001 to 2004, Hudson was the Chief Engineer of Boeing Defence Australia’s Network Enabled Systems Division and before that Chief Technologist of the Space & Communications System Division. He was a technical advisor to the board of an AU$280 million Australian Venture Capital Fund and the Cooperative Research Centre for Distributed Systems Technology. He was inducted into the Boeing technical Fellowship as an Associate Technical Fellow of The Boeing Company in 2002. 

Stephen is a strong supporter of and advocate for Women in Engineering.
