Drinks with the Boss

Wed 6 Dec 2017 (6:00 pm - 8:30 pm)
La Di Da
577 Little Bourke Street, Melbourne VIC 3000

Drinks with the Boss gives you an opportunity to spend time with an aviation/aerospace leader in a casual environment. Listen as they talk about their experiences as they’ve taken on ever more responsible leadership positions, and ask them the questions you often don’t get the chance to in more formal settings. Plus, it’s a great opportunity to meet like-minded peers and colleagues.

Please join us for an evening of networking as we hear from Vince Di Pietro, Vice President and Chief Executive, Lockheed Martin Australia and New Zealand as he gives us his insights on what Lockheed Martin are working on and what they hope to achieve with STELaR Lab.

Mr Di Pietro assumed the role of Vice President and Chief Executive, Lockheed Martin Australia and New Zealand in December 2016.  Previously the Commander of Fleet Air Arm in the Royal Australian Navy based in Nowra NSW, Vince is a military aviator with almost 40 years experience.

Vince has accumulated over 5000 hours in both fixed and rotary wing aircraft. He was awarded the Conspicuous Service Cross for outstanding achievement as Director General Navy Certification, Safety & Acceptance in Navy Systems Command. His career highlights include exchange instructor at the RN Helicopter School, Commanding Officer 723 Squadron, command of Fleet Base West/HMAS Stirling and Naval Attaché to the U.S in Washington, DC.

Vince was appointed as Member of the Order of Australia in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List on June 2016 for exceptional service as Commander Fleet Air Arm from January 2013 to January 2016 and as Australia’s Naval Attaché to the United States from June 2007 until June 2010.

He is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
