Nicola Keating is the Head of Strategy, Partnerships & Communications at Aviation/Aerospace Australia. Nicola currently leads a national industry association spanning across Australia’s aviation, aerospace, and space sectors. As an accomplished communications specialist and community engagement manager, she has a robust background in journalism, project management, and strategic partnerships. Prior to her work in the industry, Nicola led a zero-tolerance campaign and helped build Hospo Voice (now United Workers Union), Australia’s first online hospitality union and worked closely with organisations and government bodies to improve risk assessment policies and workers rights conditions. Nominated as a Leading Female in Hospitality in 2021, Nicola has worked with Tracey Spicer on ‘Challenging the Culture’ on Australia’s #MeToo movement and features in Victoria Midwinter Pitt’s production ‘I’m With Her’ alongside women such as former PM Julia Gillard, Professor Marcia Langton AM, Foundation Chair of Australian Indigenous Studies at the University of Melbourne, and counter-terrorism expert, Labor MP Dr. Anne Aly. Nicola has a Bachelor of Journalism and a Post-Graduate in Politics & International Relations.
