In conjunction with the Women in A/AA and BDO networking event in Brisbane, we're pleased to announce an event in Melbourne where we'll be launching an exciting social media campaign to coincide with the 2018 International Women's Day. 

The evening will feature three industry presentations followed by Q&A, with the theme focussing on 'strategies and policies that are better for women are better for all'. Afterwards you're invited to stay on for networking and refreshments.

Aletta is an IFRS advisory specialist with over 25 years’ experience in financial reporting and accounting, audit and assurance, corporate governance, accounting professional and ethical standards, learning and development (including client Webinars, newsletters and seminars), corporations law and other regulatory requirements. She has undertaken numerous engagements advising on the application of Australian accounting standards and IFRSs, data mining/data analytics, professional ethics, risk management, as well as delivered technical training presentations and publications.

Michelle Redfern
Founder, Advancing Women
Co-Founder, CDW (Culturally Diverse Women)

Michelle is the founder of Advancing Women and co-founder of social enterprise CDW (Culturally Diverse Women). Michelle’s activities and work are anchored in her mission which is to achieve gender equality and to advance women in business and the sporting sector. Michelle is an in-demand speaker, moderator and MC at conferences, leadership forums and diversity events.

Prior to establishing her advisory practice, Michelle held executive leadership roles in the Banking, Telco, BPO and 3PL industries for blue chip companies such as NAB, Telstra, Serco and Aegis. Michelle is well known for her passionate focus on inclusion in business and sport, a collaborative and engaging leadership style, as well as being an operating model performance turnaround specialist.

General Manager, Boeing Research & Technology



Michael Edwards joined The Boeing Company in August 2011 as General Manager of Boeing Research & Technology – Australia (BR&T-A). Michael carries executive responsibility for the delivery of the Company’s research portfolio in the region. Michael oversees a highly collaborative research program focussed on creating the future for the Boeing Australia business units. In his capacity as General Manager of BR&T – A Michael is a member of the BR&T Global Technology Leadership Team and the Boeing Australia Enterprise Leadership Team.
