Women in A/AA invites you to celebrate International Women's Day 2021, in Melbourne. Join us for pre-show drinks and attend the Broadway Musical Come From Away, as we celebrate and acknowledge the inspirational women in our industry. 

Set against the backdrop of the September 11 attacks, COME FROM AWAY is the Tony award-winning musical that explores the true events that transpired when 38 planes were ordered to land unexpectedly in the small Canadian town of Gander, Newfoundland - almost doubling the population. This ground-breaking piece of theatre that examines the human spirit and our capacity to show empathy in times of great adversity.

The characters in the musical are based on real Gander residences, stranded travellers and airline staff including Beverley Bass, the captain of one of the planes ordered to land at Gander International Airport.
