Chat@6 with Women in A/AA - Dr Marie Le Pellec | Assistant Director – Responsible for SSA, Program and Capability at the Australian Space Agency.  

Women in A/AA is thrilled to have Marie as our guest speaker at our upcoming event! The evenings focus will be. Sustainability on Earth to Sustainability in Space.

Biography

Dr Marie Le Pellec joined the Australian Space Agency as a senior technical lead, with a particular focus on Space Situational Awareness (SSA). In this role, Marie oversees the development and implementation of the Agency’s SSA roadmap. She also provides strategic advice as part of the technical leadership team across the seven priority areas of the Australian Civil Space Strategy. Mariecollaborates with national and international stakeholders to progress SSA related technical capability and space regulation aspects. 

Marie is an engineer with a doctorate in strategy and has over 10 years experience in strategy and sustainability. She commenced her career at the French Space Agency CNES in the Strategy & Programs team, before moving to Australia. She then provided strategic support to a broad range of organisations, delivering solutions based on robust analysis, stakeholder engagement and tangible objectives. Her passion for space brought her back to the space industry as soon as the stars aligned.
