Biography 

Jason McHeyzer is a senior executive with extensive experience in aviation, regulation and program management. 

Jason is currently CASA’s Region Manager for Southern Region conducting safety regulation of flying and maintenance organisations in Victoria and Tasmania. 

Jason’s leadership experience includes command of a 400-person military headquarters and deputy commander of an operational flying wing of 1,000 people. The majority of his aviation experience was gained on AP-3C Orion military surveillance aircraft. He has led and flown on combat operations in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Project management highlights include delivery of CASA’s flying operations and fatigue regulations and delivery of Air Force’s E7 Wedgetail Airborne Early Warning and Control aircraft.

Jason holds a Bachelor of Science, Master of Project Management and Master of Management. He is a father of two, an occasional cyclist and photographer who struggles to balance family, work and hobbies.
