A/AA & NextGenNetwork welcomes you to join us for an evening of networking as we hear from 737 captain/pilot in command Stafford Nicholas as he discuss 'How the impact of aviation technological advancements has increased aircraft safety, complexity and CRM'

This event is open to all industry professionals from executives to students. 

 

Stafford Nicholas grew up on a farm in country NSW and first learnt to fly in Echuca, he then completed his commercial pilots licence at Moorabbin Airport. 

After moving to Perth in 1989, Stafford completed his instructors rating to grade 2, for 2 years he then worked as an instructor at Jandakot airport before moving to Sydney to complete his Airline Transport Licence. 

After moving back to Victoria, Stafford instructed at Moorabbin Airport for 18 months before working for a year at Essendon airport. During his time at Essendon airport, he would fly charter and regular public transport with a short-lived Peninsula airlines. 

In 1994, Stafford moved to Maningrida, a small aboriginal community 600km east of Darwin, where he worked for Airnorth Flying Charter. 

Stafford joined Kendell airlines in November 1996 and flew the Metroliner, Saab and Canadian Regional Jet until the demise of Ansett in September 2001, he then went on to join Regional Express in 2003.

Stafford has been a pilot at a major Australian domestic carrier since 2007, in which he recently gained his command for the 737 in December 2017.
