Work experience success at Boeing Research & Technology Australia

Fior Sandell, a student at Doncaster Secondary College, took an important step toward her STEM goals.

After connecting with Sarah McSwiney, Resin Infusion Enterprise Projects Manager, Boeing Research & Technology Australia, Aviation/Aerospace Australia was approached by Jo Rawson, whose grand-daughter Fior Sandell, was very eager to gain some work experience in this amazing industry.

Sarah, and the Work Experience Team, provided Fior with a five-day work experience opportunity at Boeing Aerostructures Australia. An experience that has given Fior knowledge, hands on skills and appreciation for the industry that will support her forward with her bright career future.

Fior completed her 5-day experience at Boeing Aerostructures Australia and thoroughly enjoyed and benefited from the program and was able to expand her network of industry connections and future mentors.

"It was such a unique opportunity and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone. It was such an amazing experience that opened my eyes up to a whole other world of different types engineering. Using the engineering software, programming a robot and making a sample of carbon fibre / resin material were some of the activities that were very exciting. I enjoyed every single thing I participated in at Boeing Aerostructures Australia and learnt so many new skills that I could never have learnt anywhere else. I couldn't thank them enough for the experience."

A special thank you to Boeing Aerostructures Australia for your support with this great opportunity.
