SPACE MISSION 2040: Grade 2 Competition

Through our SPACE MISSION 2040 competition for Grade 2 students, Women in A/AA is reaching the next generation of aviation, aerospace and space professionals with fantastic resources. A/AA is pleased to be offering activities to primary school students to support the future pipeline of talent for the whole industry.

During Term 2, 330 schools students across the country participated in online lesson packs including paper plane folding and throwing, storytime from space and listening to the Four Forces of Flight 10min webinar delivered by BAE Systems Stephanie McCollough, a graduate Aerospace Engineer from RMIT University. With the support of the Australian Government Women in Aviation grant, children, teachers, careers advisors and parents have viewed videos showcasing careers in Aviation and Aerospace and Space careers, supported by the Australian Space Agency.
