Biography

Project Engineering Manager, BAE Systems Maritime Australia

Steph is a proud Project Engineering Manager in Maritime at BAE Systems Australia. She is passionate about technology innovation, translating complex engineering into real-world capability, and driving collaboration to build new high performing teams.

Steph holds a Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering from RMIT University, a Diploma of Project Management, and a Certificate in Business Acumen from Melbourne Business School. Steph began her career in Aerospace, working on the Hawk Lead-In Fighter project across various engineering roles in Newcastle, NSW. Of note, she was a Systems Engineer on the Engine Replacement Project, a major defence initiative to ensure continuity of the RAAF’s fast jet pilot training program.

As a graduate, Steph was awarded 2021 Graduate Community Service Graduate of The Year for her consistent contribution to STEM outreach, which began in her first year of university. Supporting and advocating for the younger generations is one of her greatest passions. She was also a long-serving A/AA NextGen Network (NGN) Committee Member, before moving over to the WA/AA Committee in 2025. Most recently, Steph has been named the WA/AA State Chair for South Australia.

Steph is also a big foodie, animal lover, and avid DIY-er, who is currently in the midst of major house renovations!
