Biography

Fiona Walmsley is General Manager, Sustainability at Virgin Australia, having joined the airline in June 2023 after more than seven years as General Manager, Climate & Environment at Woolworths Group, where she played a key role in transforming the business into a recognised leader in sustainability best practice.

With more than 20 years' experience in sustainability, Fiona has held leadership roles across corporate and professional services, including as a Director in Deloitte's Sydney Sustainability Services practice. Holding both undergraduate and postgraduate engineering qualifications, she is passionate about solving complex, interconnected challenges and delivering practical sustainability outcomes that create long-term value.
