WA/AA Summit Melbourne a success

Strong outcome for WA/AA Summit

Over 180 delegates attended the Women in Aviation/Aerospace Australia Summit in Melbourne on 30 October 2025. The event was sold out with approximately 30 per cent attendees still studying at university.

Key metrics of the event:

- 96% rating it good-to-excellent

- 98% indicating that they are likely or very likely to recommend the event to others.

- Most popular sessions were the keynote and the panel on Perimenopause and menopause

- Positive comments on the number of men attending.

- We could have done better in metrics on diversity with 89% saying we got it right.

- Some suggested future themes: "the tast taboos" in talking about mental health, fertility and hormones; more technical presentations from non-STEM parts of industry; industry skills/job trends; recruiting at the end of the pipeline; airline management experience
