Aviator in Schools Program breaking ground
Aviator in Schools Program
An industry-education partnership program inspiring STEM learning with real-world practice. The Aviators in Schools is operated by CSIRO, supported by Aviation/Aerospace Australia and the Australian Government Department of Education, and Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts
The program creates opportunities for teachers and students to learn current industry practices from an inspiring STEM professional. Participants decide for themselves how they would like to collaborate. Mentoring, site visits, field trips, career talks, presentations, and hands-on demonstrations are all options to inspire students with new skills and possibilities.
Participants receive ongoing support to ensure they get the most out of their partnership(s):
- Resources to develop and support partnerships
- Learning opportunities, webinars and networking
- Advice from your Program Support Officer.
While the program aims especially to highlight the many roles and achievements of women in aviation, applications are welcome from all qualified professionals regardless of gender. Every interaction brings greater visibility to the diverse range of rewarding career paths in aviation.
