Women in A/AA has proudly delivered Summits across Australia for more than 10 years, bringing together leaders and change-makers across the aviation, aerospace, and space sectors to discuss the challenges and opportunities for the industry. We invite you to join us and bring your team to broaden your network, and take meaningful insights and key learnings back to your organisation.
The WA/AA Adelaide Summit 2026 will bring together aviation and aerospace professionals to analyse all stages of a career, from technical roles, the runway and through to the boardroom. Moving beyond discussions, this Summit will focus on real actions and tangible strategies that organisations can implement to foster a more inclusive industry. Through expert panels, case studies, and interactive sessions, attendees will explore how to transition from commitment to execution, ensuring lasting change in workplace culture, leadership, and workforce development.

Biographies
/ Claire Clutterham MP, Member for Sturt, Co-Chair Parliamentary Friends of Aviation
Ms Clutterham MP is the Member for Sturt, having been elected into the House of Representatives in 2025. She is a highly qualified individual with multiple degrees and was a lawyer for over 20 years. Notably she was on the board of the Royal Flying Doctor Service, and she is also the Co-Chair of the Parliamentary Friends of Aviation.

Steph is a proud Project Engineering Manager in Maritime at BAE Systems Australia. She is passionate about technology innovation, translating complex engineering into real-world capability, and driving collaboration to build new high performing teams. Steph holds a Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering from RMIT University, a Diploma of Project Management, and a Certificate in Business Acumen from Melbourne Business School. Steph began her career in Aerospace, working on the Hawk Lead-In Fighter project across various engineering roles in Newcastle, NSW. Of note, she was a Systems Engineer on the Engine Replacement Project, a major defence initiative to ensure continuity of the RAAF’s fast jet pilot training program.
As a graduate, Steph was awarded 2021 Graduate Community Service Graduate of The Year for her consistent contribution to STEM outreach, which began in her first year of university. Supporting and advocating for the younger generations is one of her greatest passions. She was also a long-serving A/AA NextGen Network (NGN) Committee Member, before moving over to the WA/AA Committee in 2025. Most recently, Steph has been named the WA/AA State Chair for South Australia.
/ Anntonette Dailey, Chief Executive, Aviation/Aerospace Australia
Anntonette Dailey is a fellow and chartered engineer and brings more than 20 years senior executive capability, working across multiple Government agencies, not for profit and consultancies. She is currently Chief Executive of Aviation/Aerospace Australia.
Anny has two ministerial board appointments with the Defence Council of Victoria and Australian Research Council Advisory. She is also a Board member for the Space Industry Association of Australia
She has a Masters of National Security Policy and currently completing a Master of Philosophy and ANU in political science and international relations.
Anny was previous the Executive Director at the Australian Space Agency, having commenced as part of the inaugural leadership team in 2018 with responsibilities similar to a chief operating officer. She was the lead for the creation and establishment of the Australian Space Discovery Centre.
/ Shannon O'Hara, Senior Legal Counsel – Aviation QBE Insurance Australia Pacific & Deputy Chair, Aviation/Aerospace Australia
Shannon O’Hara is the Senior Legal Counsel to the Aviation & Claims Teams at QBE Insurance. She works with the aviation underwriting and claims teams providing legal guidance on underwriting risk exposures, aviation litigation and legal matters affecting the aviation business and leads industry relations where she champions aviation safety, diversity and leadership.
Shannon is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a Director and Vice-Chair of Aviation Aerospace Australia, a Director on the Board of the Australian Helicopter Industry Association and a Past President / Director of the Aviation Law Association of Australia and New Zealand where she was also its first female President. In 2020, Shannon was appointed by the Deputy Prime Minster to the Future of Aviation Reference Panel and is a current member of CASA’s Aviation Safety Advisory Panel. In 2024, Shannon was the winner of the Queensland Law Society’s Excellence in Law Award for In-House Counsel of the Year.
Shannon holds degrees in Law (Hons) and Commerce with a major in Politics and Public Policy from Griffith University. Shannon is a mother to two beautiful children, an av-geek, prolific reader, indoor netball and Pilates addict, avid traveller and foodie.
/ Yan Yang, Principal Research Engineer, CSIRO
Dr Yan Yang is a Principal Research Engineer at CSIRO and a recognised leader in artificial intelligence and autonomous aerospace systems. With over 20 years of experience spanning research, engineering, and enterprise leadership, she has played a pivotal role in advancing machine learning and generative AI applications for autonomous aerial platforms, with a strong focus on enabling intelligent, real-time decision-making systems.
Previously an Associate Technical Fellow at Boeing Phantom Works, Yan led global machine learning initiatives and collaborated across multidisciplinary teams to deliver AI-enabled aerospace technologies from concept through to flight trials. Her expertise spans academia and industry, with a particular emphasis on translating advanced AI research into safe, reliable, and mission-ready systems.
