A/AA invites all schools and community groups (like scouts, girl guides and primary school focused groups) from across the country to participate in SPACE MISSION 2040. Through our SPACE MISSION 2040 competition for primary school students, A/AA is reaching the next generation of aviation, aerospace and space professionals with fantastic resources thanks to the support of the Australian Space Agency. A/AA is pleased to be offering activities to primary school students to support the future pipeline of talent for the whole industry.

The competition, it is open to Year 1 to 6, with various challenges for individual or group entry:

/ Year 1 & 2: You're going to moon! Design and build a spacesuit to explore.

/ Year 3 & 4: You're going to Mercury! Design and build a space craft. It will be your home for the 147 days journey.

/ Year 5 & 6: What is on Venus? Design and build a rover for discovering Venus to take photos and collect rock samples

A/AA provides support in the form of resources (including a teachers pack), access to experts, inspiration and of course ideas!
