Aviators in Schools

A STEM Professionals in Schools initiative - An industry-education partnership program inspiring STEM learning with real-world practice.

The Aviators in Schools program connects teachers all over Australia with aviation professionals, in flexible and ongoing partnerships that bring real-world insights into the classroom. The program creates opportunities for teachers and students to learn current industry practices from an inspiring STEM professional. Participants decide for themselves how they would like to collaborate. Mentoring, site visits, field trips, career talks, presentations, and hands-on demonstrations are all options to inspire students with new skills and possibilities.

Participants receive ongoing support to ensure they get the most out of their partnership(s):

• Resources to develop and support partnerships

• Learning opportunities, webinars and networking

• Advice from your Program Support Officer.

While the program aims especially to highlight the many roles and achievements of women in aviation, applications are welcome from all qualified professionals regardless of gender. Every interaction brings greater visibility to the diverse range of rewarding career paths in aviation.
 

Who can apply?

STEM professionals with a qualification and/or experience working in a aviation, aerospace or a related field (academic or industry based). STEM professionals are required to comply with CSIRO’s Child Safe Procedure.
